Hotel Hirsch

The rooms are very large comfortable with traditional bavarian furniture. They mainly have a brown and green colour scheme, with heavy wooden furnishings. The rooms are in a fantastic condition, whilst the bathrooms are very nice and cosy too. The restaurant and separate bar are to be found off from the main hallway, and are decorated and furnished in typical Bavarian style with heavy wood furniture and subdued lighting. It has seperate rooms while the Beerstube is very cosy and traditional. The food is highly recommended and a lot of locals inclusive the Stammtisch eat her. The traditional Bavarian dishes are the best and highly recommended also in season they serve the famous Salvator beer a Strongbeer only available in certain times of the year and with a wonderful honey tast, full and rich.
In summer the beergarden under the streets leading from the restaurant is highly recommended to relax in the evening and watching Fussen while you enjoy a traditioal Stone Beer or a nice wine and wait for your dinner. It is an attractive, traditional building, painted in soft pastel colours, highlighting its Bavarian style, typical of the region. The lobby is very small with the reception area off to the side. However, the entrance hall leads on to a larger area around the broad staircase. A very traditional hotel which has been well looked after by Eva Schwecke and her mother and all the other friendly staff.
Higly recommended from GTA when you want to enjoy the traditional ways of Southern Bavaria. In summer the beergarden is a must.
